Subject: borrowing multiple copies of books
I work for a small city library in Texas. One dozen police officers of the city
are scheduling to take a Sergeant's Exam soon and need four titles that are
required study material. These are the four titles:
Criminal Investigation: Basic Perectives, 6th ed., 1994, P. B. Weston and
K. M. Wells, Prentice-Hall, Inc.
Supervision of Police Personnel, 5th ed., 1994, N. F. Iannone, Prentice-Hall,
Police Patrol: Operations and Management, 2nd ed., 1994, C. D. Hale,
Criminal Evidence for Police, 4th ed,, 1995, P. B. Weston et al, Prentice-Hall,
My understanding is that earlier editions of these books will not suffice.
Does anyone out there have copies of the titles (even multiple copies) that you
would be willing to lend us for perhaps a month or slightly longer. I,m not sure
yet when the exam is to be held; probably early January 1998.
If you have these books to lend and we can work things out through the use of an
ALA request form that would greatly speed up the process.
Also, if you know of any possible resource I might check into for these
materials, that would be very helpful.
Please e-mail me direct or call me at the number below.
